I am auditing Music Appreciation 1010 at the University of Virginia and "Listen" is the textbook. It is a very thorough, well-researched volume and the six CDs are superior. "Listen" expertly links the text with the appropriate tab on the CD making the reading even more valuable. The authors have obviously spent considerable time making this text a valuable resource for any music-lover and I'm quite certain that I'll refer to it innumerable times after I finish the course and before I attend subsequent concerts or simply listen to Mozart or Beethoven or etc., etc."Listen" belongs on the bookshelf of music enthusiasts of any age,
